Vegetarian biryani

The biryani is a tasty typical Indian recipe made with rice which accompany meat or vegetables, in this case the proposal in a very tasty and appetizing vegetarian option.

PREPARATION:

Boil in salted water basmati rice.
In a large frying pan prepare a fried with a little oil and onions, garlic and green peppers cut into thin slices, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add the spices (except saffron), lemon juice, carrots cut into thin slices, peas and potatoes into slices and fry over high heat for a few minutes.
Pour over vegetables a tablespoon of milk in which you have melted saffron, then put the lid on the pan and cook over medium heat for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
In a serving dish in the middle of rice and Lie down on the vegetables, and then finish with the remaining rice.

INGREDIENTS:

4 carrots
2 potatoes
60 g of fresh peas
1 lemon
2 cloves garlic
3 onions
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon fresh ginger
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tsp turmeric
Powdered saffron q.s.
q.s. milk
500g basmati rice
2 green chillies
extra virgin olive oil q.s.
Pepper as needed.
Salt to taste.
